The painted cuff series all began life as a leather belt. Those belts were then cut, snapped and made into cuffs. The painted part comes into play when I added painted canvas, which has been varnished, for protection. 
 
After crafting the cuff, adding the canvas, this cuff has an added "bling",  a vintage shoe buckle piece. It's a goregous piece, certainly a statement. The leather cuff portion brown in color.
