Encaustics

This beautifully layered mixed media series came from a place of deep longing to step away from my usual whimsical acrylic paintings, into the rich layers of plaster, paint and wax. All were created during the COVID quarantine months. I spent many hours creating beauty during such an isolating period of our history. Most are botanicals, but a few landscapes made their way into the series.
